After Robert and Holly's marriage of convenience,it seemed as if Bobbie made her feelings clear about it.Robert did a good and noble thing to protect Holly and her baby, yet Bobbie would throw little snide remarks about Robert to Holly and was very nasty to him when Holly was in the hospital. Do you think that she was concerned about Holly's feelings because Robert was a ladies man or was it jealousy?

I think primarily she was concerned for Holly because at that time, Holly was an extension of her brother, Luke, so I think Bobbie was trying to "protect" her out of loyalty to Luke. No one had ever seen the side of Robert that Holly brought out (sigh!!), so everyone considered him as he even said "not the marrying kind."
That being said, who wouldn't have wanted a chance to be in the arms of Robert Scorpio & I'm sure a lot of women in Port Charles were cursing Holly!! LOL!!

To me, I think it was a mix of both. I think she did feel that Robert did a noble thing by marrying Holly so she could stay in this country and have Luke's kid. But I also think it was her jealousy that came out and delivered all those snotty comments once Holly lost her Luke's spawn. I agree with you Louisa that no one had ever seen Robert, the ladies man, so smitten before Holly and most were at a lost in the beginning of how to handle that. Once though his friends accepted her and him together, I think they saw how good she was for him and him for her. I have always said that Holly brought out a softer side to Robert that made him so much more than just a piece of eye candy for the ladies. Loving her increased his sex appeal by a million for me cause before they put him with Holly, I never liked him much. I still feel that way, without Holly by his side, I don't like him much. I liked Robert with Tiffany, as short-lived as that was. I think the 10-11 year old little girl that I was at the time just wanted him to have a girlfriend. Hated the Jackie Templeton involvement! Holly was what made Robert a leading man; we saw this loving, protective, sensitive & vulnerable man that you could tell caught Robert himself off-guard! Gloria Monty knew she had struck gold with them! And I've never liked him the same way without Holly at his side either. He's basically a self-absorbed ass without her!! And I LOVE your Avatar!!!! Are you joining forces with our campaign??

There is a scene at the housewarming where Bobbie gives serious side-eye when a very happy Robert calls Holly "my wife" . Maybe she was concerned that Robert would somehow hurt Holly or she was jealous that the suave ladies man didn't make a move on her When the friendship turned to love he didn't want to go to parties and events without her, except the famous Charlie Chan I'm coming down with a cold scene. At least later on Bobbie saw how happy they become and how she was pulling for them to get back together when Holly left for London. Jackie was a vindictive, spiteful shrew. I couldn't stand her even coming inside their home(the love shack),tainting it with her foulness. Without Holly by his side Robert was a different man.She brought out the "better side" of him as he once told her, something that he never had with the other women in his life.

I thought TR was very handsome back when he came on (I was 21). Even with Tiffany though I didn't like his attitude. And yes it was that self absorbed ass you mentioned. IMO he always had this, "you are so lucky I'm with you" attitude. And he treated women basically like a toy that he played with until he got bored and found a new one. I was amazed watching him change as he fell in love with Holly and I loved it. About your campaign, I don't watch anymore or follow the writers, FV and NV but I have been posting some pics of them with your hashtag marks. I have tons of pics to help with that. I could post one a day for years. (rofl)I also changed my Twitter header to pics of them with the hashtag on it. I can stop anytime you guys think it's been long enough or I can endlessly promote Holly and Robert. Guess what? I haven't watched GH in years myself!! LOL!! Fortunately, I wasn't even watching it during the Ethan parentage mess. I took it off my DVR about 5 years ago, and when I turned it on last Spring on a day off, I saw that they brought Duke back just to kill him off again! I haven't even turned it on since. My RnH interest was rekindled when I found their story on YouTube & fell in love with them all over again (my tapes from that time are Beta & packed up in storage). To be honest, I don't really care what happens to the show itself at this point, but I want to see a permanent happy ending for Robert & Holly. I don't even think they need to come back to the show on contract; I just want to see them reunited & then leave the show before TPTB can screw them up again!! So I'm just like you, campaigning & not watching!!

Unfortunately, Robert and Holly don't have to be on contract or screen to be screwed over by the writers. That whole bunch of BS with Luke happened off screen. No one saw that ONS take place. But there was Ethan, Holly as his momma and Puke as his pappy. I wish I could lay all the blame on the doorstep of Bob Guza but Geary admitted in an after retirement interview with Michael Logan that, "I could bully writers and producers into doing things my way, and a lot of times I bullied quite successfully." He took to Nathan Parsons who played Ethan and had that story changed so that he belonged to Luke and Holly. He was originally supposed to be the coma baby of Robert and Holly. Maybe there's a chance with him gone that the story could be changed but I'm not seeing it with these women writing the show now. I also see very few people happy with the stories they've put out. The ratings are starting to fall again though I don't know why anyone looks at those. There are 4 Soaps and GH has held the #3 spot for at least the last six years (probably longer). IMO gaining a few hundred viewers in a category means absolutely nothing if you don't move from 3rd place to 2d or 1st. But that's just me. Oh, you're absolutely right--Tony Geary totally bullied that storyline change, and I HATE that!! He selfishly took away the dreams of an entire fanbase. I doubt if it'll be changed; the best they could do was lessen Holly's "culpability" by adjusting the story so she didn't cheat on Robert (Luke just cheated on Laura)! Again, I'm happy I didn't actually watch any of that BS. I personally think that GH is nearing its end. My hope is that TPTB will just throw us a bone, reunite RnH, send them off & leave them alone!! I don't have to see or hear from them again once they're back together!

Are you joining forces with our campaign?? I might have liked him and Tiff together if they had chemistry. Imo, they had none except as friends. Back to the Bobbie question, I almost see it as Bobbie wanting Holly to be with her instead of Robert all the time. She wanted Holly to live with her and Ruby. Since I usually didn't care much for Bobbie, this time period did her no favors in my eyes.

Oh you're right--looking back on it, there was almost zero chemistry. I think back then, I just wanted Robert to have a girlfriend to match with LnL!! LOL!! Once Holly came on the scene, I was like, "Now THAT'S chemistry!", and loved the true friendship between Robert, Luke & Tiff.

I liked how Bobbie was sort of against Robert and Holly. I liked her loyalty to her brother Luke. I think in a way she was sort of hurt that Holly could move on with Robert. But it also sort of made Robert & Holly stronger in the end as a couple. It was sort of them against the world.
I like this scene between Robert and Bobbie (starts at 4:10).

I understand Bobbie's loyalty to Luke. And R&H against the world...I was all for that. It's just sometimes I thought Bobbie crossed a line...when Holly miscarried was one of those, and I loved Robert taking no flack from her for it.

The writers are always acting like being a Spencer is a big deal. Why would anyone want to be a Spencer? A family full of whores, drunks, drug users, abusive men, cheaters, liars, killers, losers and well the list could go on. In my world, the Spencers are just trash, all of them and certainly nothing to worship or brag about. Bobbie should be apologizing to every citizen of PC for her brother not bragging and defending him. That Robert strikes back clip ... love it. I think Douglas Marland envisioned the Spencers as exactly that...low class trash. He certainly wrote Bobbie and Luke that way.

I think it was a mix of jealously and concern. Bobbie wanted Holly to be faithful to the memory of her brother- like they were sisters and their bond was because of Luke. Also, I think Bobbie was jealous of the developing relationship between Robert and Holly. Since the initial plan was to put Holly back with Luke and move Robert on with Bobbie...I think they were setting the stage for Bobbie to be jealous of the woman getting Robert's attention...and Holly clearly had his attention and his affection.

I'm so glad that initial plan was scrapped. Robert & Bobbie would have never worked. Even their names suggest they don't belong together.
