I agree Giada, I think there should have at least been a hug during their first scene together. I saw a little pain from him in that scene but I did not feel the love at all.

Grrrrrrrrrrrr........Tristan............why didn't you stay a little longer in 1992?!? Oh, what could have, should have happened. I wanted a scene like the one where Luke finds out that Laura is alive back in 1983 on the mayor's lawn. But we did have the added complications of Anna and TR leaving. I suppose it was the best we could have gotten. I just wanted a damn goodbye kiss and not have Robin interrupt them!!

See, I thought in this scene, as he's walking towards her in the first few seconds, he was going to hug her, but stops himself ... you can tell by the change in his expression and tone that he's gone from excited to see her to remembering the reality of the situation. The tension and their formality with each other is both heartbreaking and riveting. ... and now, after watching it again, I think this may be the best acted scene these two ever had ...

I agree---I think Robert's first instinct was to want to hug her and he stops himself and gets angry. He has jumped to a conclusion that she faked her death to be rid of him and she doesn't end up giving him much of an explanation in this first scene so that riles him up further.
It is incredibly well acted and incredibly heartbreaking.

This scene just kills me every time I watch it. The acting is just superb!!! "Heartbreaking and riveting" describes it perfectly rhda8386. On a lighter note, I think both TR and Emma looked absolutely fantastic here. Oh my....what could have been.

Some very high quality stuff, and the best part is, it is uncut.

I have the full episodes from this time. It's not quite as great quality, all depended on the weather and the reception of that particular day. I like to watch the whole show sometimes too. Not that i was capable of editing anything at the time, either. Some very high quality stuff, and the best part is, it is uncut.

There is a lot of conversation about how RH were written in character in 92. I don't really agree with that. they weren't trashed, like they were in 06, but the real Robert would have grabbed on to Holly and never let go. Just my opinion.

It's mine as well. I was waiting for a moment for R&H like L&L got when Luke saw Laura on the mayor's lawn. But I knew Tristan was leaving and Emma was just coming back so I sort of know why they did it. Still a KISS would have been nice!!

I pretty much feel the same. After all, we didn't hear Luke automatically assuming that Laura had ditched him and stayed away to hurt him in '83. He asked her what had happened, where she had been...after a wonderful embrace. RnH deserved something along those lines. The angst could have come after a hug.

This lack of hug hurts me every times

I finally got around to really watching R&H of 92 and for the most I really liked it, especially their chemistry in their dinner scene. I hated some of the dialogs but love looking at them.
