I loved that Holly found this case and persued it all on her own. She had it all going on and continued despite Robert's protests. It made for some funny scenes-- like Lee in the versilles room and then Tiffany. HATED that fur collar jacket

Okay, I didn't mind the fur collar jacket. What I did mind were those hideous leotards and tights although I know that was the fashion back then. Seriously, I cringe when I watch some of those scenes.

That fur color getup didn't seem like something Holly would wear and aged her terribly but I really enjoyed watching her casually change out of that fur suit in NYC.

It was just hideous and that fur outift did age Holly-- i guess that was the idea, but GM should have stayed FAR away from wardrobe decisions...yikes

I often wondered what Emma thought of the wardrobe back then. It seemed that Gloria Monty was trying to age Emma because of the age difference between her and Tristan. But honestly, never once did I think about that. And it had nothing to do with the clothes.

I think one of the most youthful outfits Holly ever wore was dress that she was wearing the night that Luke returned from the grave. We never saw Holly dress quite like that again.

We never saw Holly dress quite like that again. in 1985, Holly dressed more in line with the times. I thought her anniversary dress was pretty youthful...and similar. I thought you could really see how young emma was in the morning after the hostage crisis. I don't know why, she just looked like her real age....and not older as GM was trying to do.

Emma did have some awful outfits in the 80's, but they did let her go a little more youthful as time progressed. She didn't have to wear as many dresses in 1985.
Plus, at least she didn't have to wear that "Gloria Monty" hair in the 80's. Laura, Heather, Felicia. Ugh! They all had the same style. At least Emma's short, brown hair kept her away from that.

I think that anniversary dress was more like spring of 84 their first real anniversary. The dresses she wore in 85 especially during the time when she found out about Anna were very, very un-flattering. Does everybody remember that ugly pink dress and that terrible peach colored dress those dresses aged her at least 20 years and she was on 24 or 25 at the time. I thought you could really see how young emma was in the morning after the hostage crisis. I don't know why, she just looked like her real age....and not older as GM was trying to do.

Emma looked fantastic no matter what she was wearing. And to tell the truth, I never really noticed back in the early 80s how "old" they were dressing her. Truthfully, she would look fantastic if she was wearing an outfit made out of burlap. She just has that look.

And what was up with the flowered dress and the blue dress that she wore in her last scene of 85. How old was Holly at the time? 24 or 25 The only time I saw Holly wear jeans was during the whole miscarriage scene.

Okay, I didn't think that pink dress that Holly was wearing when she found out about Anna was ugly. I thought it was kind of nice. In fact, I thought Holly had some FAR worse outfits.

Well what did you think about the flowered dress and the blue dress? I guess the pink dress was kinda cute if she was maybe 20 years older. At her age why was she not wearing jeans or something more her age?

I guess I was just used to the "Gloria Monty" look. I didn't expect anything different. Holly should have been more in jeans but I knew GM liked her leading ladies in dresses. And I guess I didn't mind the flowered dress either <ducks!>
