he never kissed her on the docks. Thank you God! i don't specifically remember him looking at holly and thinking of anna. i think he had memory triggers and really-- that isn't a time i want to think a lot about LOL. It was just awful and out of character. Thank goodness it ended right. The scene where Holly is going up the stairs in her white night gown, Robert looks at it and flashes back to when Robert and Anna are at some camp fire and Anna has on a similar nightgown. Gawd.....I hate that scene and I hated all the flashbacks. Is this scene on youtube? I need to see this for myself I cant believe it.

ok, thanks tidewater for the nightmare, but I did ask for it. Why exactly would Robert think of another woman dancing in the woods with a night gown on like Holly's. Why did whats her name even have a night gown like that by a camp fire. I thougt that I have seen every R&H moment first run but I guess I bocked this one out!

Don't worry 1983, I blocked out a lot of those dam# flashbacks myself. Even today, when I watch them (after I came to like Anna), I just wanted to throw something at Anna. I absolutely couldn't stand her and how GH tried to whitewash her so fast. Ugh!

I continue to feel that GM although I loved her, she obviously was trying to make another Holly when she cast the character of Anna. And now 24 years later we are having to continue to deal with this Robert Anna and Robin Bull.

Since you asked, Robert and Anna had hijacked someone's car and escaped from the DVX. Anna is wearing a slip and not a nightgown. The Anna of later years would never be dancing around like that. I watched the Robert and Holly scenes from that clips several times today and I have to say that there is a real disconnect between how Robert acted toward Holly and the fact that he flashes back to an fairly intimate moment between he and Anna right before he goes up the steps to join his wife in bed.

I agree. it's no coincidence that both Emma and Finola were british, dark-haired, and former dancers. what is funny is that as TR says, those are the ONLY similarities.

I hated that Robert defended Anna's actions to Holly when he said "Anna's only fault was in loving me too much".WHAT?!!!.The woman came to destroy his marriage and now he's defending her. That was way out of Robert's character. So glad that he heard her voice on the telephone, too bad he could get Prescott who deserved a Scorpio beatdown.

Why would Robert want to say something like that when Holly was already hurt. It did not make much sense.

Also I think they needed Robert to be a bit of an ass to justify Holly running off to her nanny instead of staying and working it out.

I just recently watched the whole Anna storyline and it was very disturbing to me. This is the first time I watched the whole thing since the 80's When I was watching it I was getting the distinct feeling that Robert was still somewhat in love with Anna and was torn between Holly and Anna.
