Just found this on Daytime Dish: Nope, more vets are coming, and some new faces to GH but not to soap fans.
can you give us some hints to who the new characters are?
They are trying to get JJ back for a bit. It's just a matter of fitting it in with his busy schedule.
VM is set to also do a stint.
Stephen Nichols, Ric Hearst, John Reilly, Emma Samms, have all been approached by FV. What's the point of bringing Emma on if Tristan is leaving? Seems like a waste to me. And if it's for that stupid thing about a triangle between Holly/Luke/Tracy that was mentioned as a future storyline, well I have zero interest in that. RC did tweet that Tristan will be around until February, so, if that's still true, there could be time yet for a Holly visit. I hope so. If Stephen Nichols is returning as Stefan Cassadine, I would think Luke would be busy with him, but who knows. They seem to spread Luke, their resident icon, around everywhere.

Maybe, they're trying to get Emma Samms before Tristan leave? I hope so, my fingers are crossed for that. I really don't see the point in bringing her back if Robert isn't around. I have no interest in anything else.
Per: Exerpt from TR SOU interview with Nelson Branco, TR is still filming at GH.
NB: Deep down, I felt the same way even though it seemed impossible for a variety of reasons. How did this all happen?
TR: There was no intrigue or anything like that. My manager got a call at the end of October inquiring about my contractual obligations at GH. My manager said, “Well, he doesn’t have any; they’ve run out.” They said, “OK, we’ll get back to you.” I didn’t hear from them right away, but one day they called and said, “Guess what? You’re back on Y&R!” It was that quick. It took everyone by surprise, including GH because, at that point, I hadn’t finished the shows I had agreed to film. We were supposed get those shows done by Oct. 31 but that hadn’t happened yet. I’m still working out those shows now. They added a few more, actually. I’ll be pretty much working up until the show goes dark.
NB: Will you overlap between both shows?
TR: No. You can’t do that. I have to finish at GH before I go to Y&R and all my GH episodes have to be done and off the air. You can’t be seen two shows at the same time. They see it as a conflict of interest. I don’t know why they see it like that.
NB: How did executive producer Frank Valentini and head writer Ron Carlivati take the news? I love that you paid your respects to the team at GH on Twitter when the news broke.
TR: I have no bad feelings or anything. Working with Frank was an absolute blessing. When he walks on to the set, and sees what you’re doing, he brings something to the scene that wasn’t there originally. Either you didn’t think of it, or it was so obvious that it went over everyone’s heads. It’s something in the blocking, it’s something in the interpretation… To be honest with you, working with Frank reminds me of working with Gloria Monty [GH’s late, great executive producer, who also saved the show from cancellation]. They both approach a scene the similar way. It’s just too bad Frank doesn’t have more time to produce these episodes because the show would benefit enormously from that kind of input. He has a lot more input to offer than time allows. I've never not worked with him and said, “Yeah, this scene is so much better because of his input.”

Found this on General Hospital Happenings:
Sonny has so much going on in his life, but according to Valentini, "Olivia is his rock. Olivia keeps showing us she's not only worthy of Sonny's affection but she's so tough she's capable of being his life partner.". Valentini hints he would love to see her go up against Ava because that would be fun for the audience to see.
He seriously thinks the audience would find it "fun" to see Olivia VS Ava?? The man is dumb as a rock if that's what he thinks. I'm all for Ava shooting Olivia right now. Olivia has to be the most useless soap character in soap opera history. And considering she's on the same show as Kiki, Morgan, Michael and Franco that is saying a lot. IMHO this regime needs some serious help in the creative & writing departments. So many wasted opportunities this past year simply because Frank and Ron have no idea what good storytelling is.

Michael is Alan & Monica's grandson so that gives him some points from me. LOL Anyway, back to Olivia...the thing that bugs me most about her (even more than the visions) is that she raised Dante away from Sonny to protect him from the mob/violence but now that Sonny shot Dante in the chest, that doesn't seem to matter any more and she is ok with being his moll. Such low self-esteem. Useless the Olivia is Olivia Jerome back from the dead, Olivia vs. Ava would be awful to watch.

What does Michael's lineage have to do with anything? Even a Thoroghbred can be a bust. Since Michael was raised a Corinthos, that takes away any points he may have garnered as a Quartermaine in my book. I 'm not a big fan of theirs anyhow, except for Lila. I loved Lila. Sorta akin to Ethan for me. Despite the fact that I absolutely adore Holly and she's been my very favorite character since her first appearance, Ethan being her son should make me love the hell out of him but with the town idiot as his father, I can't muster any like for him at all. I can't stand him, just like all the other Spencer children, if he were shot dead tomorrow ... no big loss for me. In fact, I'd love that. Then find out he's Robert's son and I won't ever have to watch him moping around because he's not Luke's little boy.
And seriously if you were Olivia wouldn't you have low self-esteem too? Damn I'd shoot myself if I were her. Her voice makes my skin boil. She just irks the hell out of me.

But unlike you not being a fan of the Qs, I am a fan of theirs...most of them anyway. Guza killing off Alan still irks me and ranks second behind what he did to R&H as things I hate him most for. I'm with you about Ethan for the Luke factor and the ridiculously stupid notion that Holly would cheat on Robert with anyone much less Luke.

Like most of the core families- it's been decimated in the last decade or so. I'm glad Michael is becoming a part of the Quartermaines. Him being raised by another family makes no difference to me. It actually provides some drama and links two families in a unique way. I actually like this Michael a lot more than the previous incarnation of him. No comment on Kiki(i don't even like her name). I like Ethan as Holly's son. I still hold out hope that some wrongs will be righted, but I feel since RC's mantra is *Make them wait, Make them wait* It will be awhile before that will be resolved totally. I wouldn't mind seeing Holly have some time getting to know him (w/o Luke being there).

I was never on board with Alan and Monica. It seemed to me all they ever did was fight and cheat on each other. Then they had the nerve to celebrate a Silver Wedding anniversary despite the fact that Alan had been married to Lucy during that 25 year period. I felt like Monica settled for Alan when what she wanted was Rick.
I can't even make a comparison of this Michael to any other Michael as I never watched him until recently as a grownup.
I have to agree on the killing of Alan, I saw that storyline on YT. Guza should be shot, point blank between the eyes. But then with no brain matter to stop it, the bullet would just go straight through. Damn jerk.
I am for Holly getting to know Ethan without Luke on the same continent. She could explain how she doesn't even remember sleeping with Luke in 1987. I'm even for Casey coming back and taking Luke to Lumina and keeping his dumbass.
As for RC, he's right there with Guza... ass kissin' cousins, literally in my book.

The Qs are a GH legacy family and I cried when they killed Alan Q because I knew that was truly the end of the GH I loved. It wasn't so much that I loved Alan so much as a single character but what he represented as part of the Q family and as part of the Gloria Monty heyday of GH. For me, the hatred comes right after the destruction of R&H. I don't really care for Michael that much but I appreciate his Q legacy. And I also agree that it is still possible for Ethan to be revealed a Scorpio. Time will tell I guess. But with Tristan on Y&R, my guess is that we will have to wait a while.

Alan and Monica did fight and cheat on each other (particularly early on in the relationship) but I never thought they didn't love each other. I don't think Monica settled at all for Alan since I don't think she really wanted Rick for himself...more what she thought she wanted at the time. She would have never been happy with Rick in the long run.

Their relationship was weird and dysfunctional, but they were still a destiny couple, imo.

I found a rumor at soapcentral that says the new detective might have altered his name and may be related to Britt Westbourne. WTF? If he is, he better be some ex-husband and not a brother disowned by Faison for being a cop.

This is not about GH itself but just read on Facebook that Bradford Anderson (formerly Spinelli) and his wife Kiera are expecting a second baby, another girl. Congrats to them.

On another board, I saw a holiday pic of his little girl...opening presents or something like that and she was precious!
