Thanks again Louisa ,You are very kind.
Yes I realize that everyone was very busy during the election. I am Canadian, and I was completely shocked by the results on November 8. As a woman, I'm finding it hard to shake off that feeling of sadness. (IMO) So I hope that you are ok with it because I can't imagine what Americans are feeling right now.
I will stay tuned and keep reading your fun posts. Best regards, Danielle

You're so sweet & we are always thrilled to have another RnH'er on board. The election was a crazy soap opera in itself, but unfortunately, there are no writers who can get us out of this!! LOL!! I'm just praying for our country and for some peace to eventually settle in.
Are you on Twitter? I joined Twitter because of this board; a lot of us are on there and tend to be pretty active on it--moreso than we are on here. We get into a lot of fun convos & reminiscing about Robert & Holly. There are viewing parties (I'm usually out & about so don't get a chance to join in too often, but they're fun). It's a great community for supporting our couple. Also, Tristan & Emma are known to jump in from time to time!! Emma actually started to follow me in August, which was probably the greatest social media experience of my entire life!!!!!
So, if you're on there, let me know & and I'll get you connected with the rest of us! My Twitter Handle is @lnuckesq96

Yes I'm on twitter but I don't use it. However, I am now highly motivated to learn how to use properly. I will look up my handle and send it to you tomorrow. I know......what a loser??? LOL

Where do I begin.... Holly was a catalyst for so many cool things that happened in 1983-85 on that show. She brought a "screwball comedy" edge that was so popular in 40's classic movies. Also, she brought good taste, good sensibility and levity to an otherwise ridiculous medium known as the soap opera. Holly was the the glue that kept everyone together and Robert was the pillar of the community that kept all the shenanigans and chaos (the Q's,Luke, Scotty) from spinning out of control....that's what made them special. They were the grown ups and everyone went to them for reassurance. The thing was she never intentionally set out to be a leader....it sort of just happened. Like falling for the commissioner. That storyline was really one of a kind and I'm glad I was on that ride in "real time" back in 1982-1985. Welcome to the board danigirl. I totally agree with everything you said and would add her sense of loyalty. And what a perfect way to describe them. "the grown ups" of the show. So true. Like you and Louisa, I'm glad I got to see them first hand back in 1982-85. No story will ever match watching big bad womanizer Robert falling in love. I for one never liked Robert when he first appeared. He used women like they were toys. Once he got his fill, he just moved on to another one. Holly made him realize he had a heart and something was missing from it. She made him want to be something no other woman ever made him want, a wife and family.

I didn't realize that Robert was such a Player. Perhaps it's because I started watching GH during the Oil Scam storyline( fun fact: I now live in Victoria BC ) Anyway I know they often made reference to him liking the ladies but I never knew the extent of it....I guess Holly was the only one who managed to settled him down, probably because she didn't throw herself at him i.e. Jackie, Connie. I always wondered if that was part of the allure for him. That she was so hard to get. Also he couldn't resist her because she was so adorable and cool.....and smart.

What I love about Holly?
I love that she is beautiful, classy, smart, ladylike, mannerable, polite, and glamorous. I love how she can be assertive without being pushy, rude or too aggressive. She's caring, sensitive and sweet but not a pushover.
