Robert and Cheryl discussed their past relationships(Holly's mention) Robert and Cheryl flasback to their past loves. Thanks for posting. You know for some reason, I really did like Robert and Cheryl. Maybe it was because the writers respected the Robert/Holly relationship at the time. I never thought Cheryl/Jennifer would reach the height of popularity of Holly/Emma and maybe that's why I liked the relationship so much - because I didn't really feel threatened by it . And yet they were kind of cute together. It also kind of tickles me that Anna gets all flustered by it. The second clip seems to be a made up flashback. I don't remember that scene at all. Does anyone else? Yes I believe it was a made up flashback which thrilled me all the more.I am really getting such a kicked out of watching Cheryl and Robert because I just love catching the Holly's mentions. Her name came up alot. Here's another mention one between Tiffany/Robert.

I agree Laura. That must be one of the reasons I liked Robert and Cheryl as well - the Holly mentions. This flashback is one of my favorites. In fact, at this time I FINALLY had a VCR and saved this and played it over and over. LOL.

I had quit watching GH by the time Cheryl had arrived. I was busy living life at the time. When Holly/Emma left GH so did I. Of course after all this time, I have read some of the story surrounding her and Robert and have seen a few of the clips on YT, but honestly didn't care enough about the story or her to follow thru with watching that much of the storyline. Same goes for the other pairings Robert had as well. I just didn't care enough to watch during those times. Goodness, I had to endure enough of the Anna stuff right before Holly left to last me a lifetime. That sent me over the edge enough to give up on GH for quite some time. LOL Robert/Holly were it for me. Always have been. Always will be. Thanks for posting that flashback scene Renee. Don't ever remember seeing that one on YT. Like I said, have watched very, very little of Robert and Cheryl. Ahh, the infamous Robert/Holly Sauna Scene! You know Robert and TR couldn't ever forget that one!! ;D

I never liked Robert and Cheryl at all. I thought they had zero chemistry. Almost as bad as Autumn. lol.

I didn't like Autumn,Cheryl,Katherine or Anna for Robert. It really pained to see Robert kissing or sleeping with any other women I truly hated it.Robert belong with Holly, and Holly belong with Robert and that's how I always felt.I didn't even attempt to watch Holly with anyone else. I pretty much became a sometimey viewer after Robert's memorial service.
I did loved the flashbacks and Holly's mentions in his other relationships.I'm glad Robert didn't just totally forget about Holly during his Hollyless times. We know Holly totally forgot about him during her Robertless time more reason why I stopped watching at that point.

I'm not sure why but Robert with others (never really watched those years) bothered me more than Holly with others (watched again 92/93). And I never got the feeling that Holly forgot him. For as friendly as Holly was she was ultra guarded. She had trouble even opening up to Robert on occasion (like the Leo/Beatrice thing) and the fact that she was staying in PC (where everyone one so pro Robert/Anna at the time) just caused her to repress all the feeling for Robert--especially since he left her thinking that he died running after Anna and they had never verbalized how they really felt. I didn't like the way Holly and Bill were written at all but I think the worst was that I couldn't stand that Bill cheated on her. But maybe that too was that although she was trying to move on, she never expected to find what she'd had with Robert. As Robert had done before, she was somewhat settling and maybe didn't even WANT to find the real thing (because no one would ever really replace Robert!) That's my take anyway ;-)

I really agree with you, I never got the feeling that Holly forgot Robert. It's a matter of fact that she didn't have a real love after him and I don't think she forgot him. But, on the other hands, for me Robert with others (especially with Kate) was better than Holly with others but I'm not sure why

I didn't mind Robert with other women (except Anna) because I felt like none of them measure up to Holly and we SAW that they didn't measure up. Holly still got mentioned. Plus, TR just has that charisma to make just about anything he did interesting. And even part of me didn't mind the Robert/Anna friendship because, to me, Holly was still #1. It got a little murky once the Robert/Anna "romance" began, but I still thought Robert loved Holly more. I didn't enjoy the other Holly romances and basically turned off GH during that time. To me, the romances were so contrived. Every time Holly accidentally ran into Bill, I rolled my eyes. I couldn't stand the character of Bill. I think I would have liked a Holly/Mac pairing better. And then there was Simon and whoever the Emergency Guy played. - yuck. I couldn't get into it and Holly seemed lost. I was kind of glad when Emma left GH.

Didn't like Autumn or Anna, but had no problem with Cheryl or Kate - now this could have been b/c I was also a DnA fan at the time and wanted Robert away from Anna, but I don't think so, it was pretty clear when IB was still on that RnA would not have flown. Holly with Bill or Simon, though? Yuck, I stopped watching.

I didn't really like Robert with anyone after Holly. I think Cheryl is the one who bothered me the least---probably because he spent so much of that time thinking of Holly ! Autumn just had zero personality. I didn't like Katherine either. It was just one of those things---something about her just rubbed me the wrong way right off the bat. They looked mismatched together to me also.
And Anna---well that was horrendous. The wedding wardrobe tells it all.
As for Holly---she really only had Bill after Robert. While I do like the chemistry between Tony and Emma (even though it's nothing compared to her and Tristan) Bill was a dud of a character. There were a couple of decent moments in there but nothing to really brag about. Bottom line---Robert and Holly were never better than when they were together.

Robert and Holly were never better than when they were together. Obviously I agree. I only liked Robert and Anna AS FRIENDS and Holly and Mac as friends. No one had the same chemistry Tristan and Emma had between the two of them

It's Robert and Holly always for me.I would've been completely happy if when they did returned on their own they had just stay single. The show make me sick with the need to rushed a character into another relationship so soon and just forget about the other loves. But I'd still say Robert with other women were more tolerable because they show that they didn't really measure up to Holly. With Holly it was Robert's who? I couldn't stand that especially if you watched Robert time on his own and saw how Holly's name cropped up in all his relationships.I'm a hardcore Robert and Hollyers I'm in this for them and I won't stick around if idiot writers are writing the characters wrong or disrespecting R/H.
I've stumbled upon clips awhile back on Holly time in the 90's. Holly was talking with Felicia about love (no mention of Robert)shamefull, completely shameful Holly spoke on love and no mention of her greatest love? That's nonsense.Holly also spoke about helping Bill find his first love and some other stuff that didn't really make sense to me.Emma was right the writer didn't know Holly.

The show make me sick with the need to rushed a character into another relationship so soon and just forget about the other loves. I think they did a great job of not rushing Robert into another relationship in '87 - maybe that's why Cheryl was acceptable to me; had they taken the same amount of time with Holly in her '92 return, she'd have been single until she left in '93 ...
