I had a very difficult time watching 1992 originally, and I, too, was very disgusted with the entire story. I hated Robert's treatment of Holly! I suppose I was hoping to see RnH as we knew them in the past. This having been said, after recently re-watching Holly's return, my thoughts have somewhat changed. I can now see the chemistry that RnH had in '92. I also see Robert's confliction, his anger, and his withdrawal from anything linked to their past. In one scene in which he asks Holly what she remembered, and she replied that she remembered how happy they were he tells her not to change the subject. In another scene, he tells her he hopes she has her Manderly. In the scene where he tells her why he has to go after Anna, IMHO, it was as though it was out of obligation...not because she was the great love of his life! His emotions were all over the place! In another scene, he tells her he's thought about her, and when she showed her surprise because he was married, his response was being married had nothing to do with it. In, yet, another scene in which Holly mentioned his being happily married, he stated that "that was questionable". He also seemed to be pushing Robin into a close relationship with Robin. When I look back on this story, I just wished that it could really have played out. In my heart of hearts, I believe that Robert's heart was, and would always be, Holly!

I've been re-watching Robert & Holly 1992 story, my personal edits and my goodness Tristan and Emma chemistry were SO electrofying, sparking away, they had it strongly. I've lost count on how many times I've re-winded a scene over and over. I esp loved the longing between them and the sexual attraction they had. If Robert had stayed? I think, I would've enjoyed a story where Robert/Holly were fighting their feelings & sexual attraction for each other but failing miserably but because of being sensitive with Robin's feelings, they would've started a secret relationship and stealing time together. They had way too much sexual chemistry not to have sex. lol
At first, I really didn't like 1992, but now? I love it..It gave us some good moments as well as not so good moments (I hated Holly running from him) but it gave us another side of R&H, The vulnerability we got from Robert when he spoke about her to Mac, Sean and Tiffany, I really loved the angst and the intensity we got in 1992.
