Who was Robert's best friend? Who were some other friends that you liked with him. Elaborate as much as you want.

I always felt that Luke was Robert's best friend. Later on, he had some good rapport with Grant, but it wasn't a friendship like Luke's. I will never forget the scene on the docks, after his return from the dead.........Robert really layed out his feelings there.
Sean was a best friend wanna be. My feelings on Sean changed everytime the character changed from good to evil to good to evil.......but he was never Robert's best friend, no matter how many times he tried to claim that he was.
Here is a link to the dock scene.......it can't be embedded because thats been disabled by the uploader.

The friendship between Robert and Luke certainly did overcome a lot when Luke returned from the dead. You could see that the friendship was still strong and intact during the Aztec s/l. Luke didn't think twice about calling Robert when he was in trouble. Luke reassured Holly that she didn't have anything to worry about with Pilar and he promised Robert that he would help look after Holly.
The think the thing that I really liked about Grant and Robert's relationship is that it was the kind of couple friendship you develop after you marry. The love all of the scenes where the Putnams/Andrews & Scorpios were socializing. It just cemented Robert and Holly's marriage even more. Grant and Robert shared something unique in that they were both ex-agents who had abondoned that lifestyle and were trying to make a marriage work.
It's like Luke was Robert's bachelor friend and Grant was his married friend. They were both good.

Hands down, Luke was Robert's best friend. Even to this day, I think people remember the friendship of Luke & Robert. They always had each other's back. And even when things were at it's worse (with Holly), you know they always respected each other.
Grant was a good "couple" friend but he wasn't really Robert's good friend. I can't really see them being friends without Holly and Celia.
Sean was a friend but I never trusted him. I hated the way he threw around the phrase "old buddy". It grated on my nerves then and grates on my nerves even more so now.

And you know, even though he wasn't a major player, we can't forget about Burt. They didn't really socialize, but they did share chinese and worked on cases together. And he had the biggest crush on Holly.
I was so angry at what they did to Burt later on down the road. It was so unnecessary...........

Luke was hands down, Robert's best friend. Like a lot of friendships, it had to endure many things, but it was always there.
We all have friends and some friends reach that level of almost a sibling or family and some never quite reach that depth. I think Grant was a good friend, but Luke was brother status and Grant wasn't.
Sean, it's hard to say. Sean is that friend who over reaches their status.

[glow=red,2,300]i really just want to try this option. [/glow] I don't think Robert's female friends were mentioned yet, besides Anna. There was also Tiffany and Bobbie- who was almost like a little sister.

Of screen, Connie and Robert where long term friends, longer than he and Anna.
I guess I have a soft spot for Connie because of some of the exchanges between them whilst Holly was kidnapped by the DVX. It was Connie that Robert confided to about how Holly had changed him.
I've watched allot of post 85 Robert scenes and never once did I hear him confide to anyone about how Anna had changed his life, Robin yes but Anna no.

One thing that is certain, is all robert's friends, even Anna, knew how much Robert loved Holly. There was nothing that anyone could do or say to stop that.

After being told that Holly had died, Felicia is the one who said almost immediately to Frisco that, "Robert's back in Port Charles. He's not married. Consider the possibilities." That tacky comment isn't my idea of a good freind. Robert was still married, his wife was just dead.
