Do you think that when Sean was brought into the picture Robert started changing?Being commissioner wasn't enough now,he started wanting to get back with the WSB again although he was married to a loving, caring wife.

i think Sean kept tempting Robert with the adventure and the fun. Where Police Commissioner held so much responsibility and paperwork...
but sean was doing that on purpose to keep Robert completely distracted so he wouldn't be able to focus on the Aztec Treasure and slater.
Plus, you have to wonder about the jealously aspect of Sean watching Robert and Holly. he knew a woman could never break them up, but adventure just might.

Sean was one of those people who even if he was being nice I couldnt stand. no matter what he was like a snake in the grass. never did anything for me as far as the show was concerned.
But I did enjoy his crying scene when he thought he killed Robert

I didn't enjoy his crying. Men don't really cry very well, especially when it's all slobbery.
Sean was a snake, but there were times much later on, when I didn't mind him.
I liked when he was going on and on about needing to beat Robert and Holly knocked him over and ran-- when she was a hostage on the train.

I go back and forth on how I feel about Sean. I didn't like how he distracted Robert with adventure in Mexico. Let's face it I didn't like anyone who came between RH in any way.

I sort of liked Sean in a weird sort of way. He was supposed to be a villain and betray Robert. I got that. I did hate the way he threw around the "old buddy" phrase but I didn't mind it as long as Sean was the "villain". And John Reilly did have chemistry with Tristan. The problem was that once TR left GH, they wanted to keep JR as he was a good actor but they just swept Sean's deeds under the carpet like Anna's. If GH would have kept him a little more devious (instead of making him Police Commissioner), I think I would have liked him a little more.

Well Sean wasn't exactly a saint after Robert left, he did have that affair with Jessica. I would have thought that Anna and Robert's death could have justified an interesting spiral of the character but no we got an affair.

COUGH COUGH what about the crying scene Robert did when Luke died ? I thought he did a Ok job. but it was way to short of a cry.

Few male actors can pull off a decent crying scene and I don't think Tristan is one of them.

Few male actors can pull off a decent crying scene and I don't think Tristan is one of them. I have to agree with Tidewater. I sort of think the less emotion Robert Scorpio shows, the better. (When O'Reilly and Luke died, I didn't think those were TR's best scenes). Although I wouldn't have minded a tear when his beloved Holly walked out on him in '85. The only male I can think of that was a good crier was Stephen Nichols as Patch on DAYS. But then again, I think he cried too much. Can anyone else think of a good male crier?

Tristan is best able to emote through inflection in his voice. He also did it through small gestures like after Holly had told Robert that she was wanted a divorce and had left town (in reality Sean had kidnapped her) Robert walked around the empty townhouse and sat on the sofa. When he gently touched the sofa cushion next to him where Holly would have sat, you felt Robert's pain. Tristan also did the far away look with soap perfect.

I actually thought his performance when O'Reilly died was rather good. I would agree though, that the fake cry when Luke died was not very realistic or believeable.
