I think someone already mentioned this, but I loved the Holly/Alan conversation. Where he is saying that he and Monica had words, but he didn't mean them and that you can love someone and suddenly they're taken from you and you never get that chance to let them know how you feel.
I loved Holly's expression while he was talking- you know she was thinking of how much she loved Robert and how she was wishing for a chance to show him and make sure he knows how much she does love him. It was a great moment for two couples that also led to Holly walking back in that room. It gave Alan a heartfelt scene and it allowed fans to see how Holly felt, without speaking, and it furthered R&H. <sigh> such wonderfulness.

You know I never really paid too much attention to that conversation until you pointed it out. It's another example of a subtle detail that the writers would put into the story to build the momentum of the s/l. Those days of good writing are long gone.

What tops it all for me is one when Holly ruishes to Robert and has her eyes closed and has a look of AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
and then Robert staring at Holly deep when she gets back into bed, For the love of god that was one HOT scene !!!!

Yea, I absolutely LOVED the hostage crisis. Plus, I think we really got to see "Police Commissioner Robert Scorpio" in full swing. I think that's where Tristan really comes into his own or sort of takes over the lead from Tony Geary. I loved the hug when Holly finally sees Robert. And of course it culminates in what has to be one of my all-time favorite R&H scenes - where Holly finally goes back to Robert in his bed. <sigh> I still can remember back in the day when this scene originally aired. I knew even then I was watching the makings of one of the greatest soap couples ever!! I "never" forgot that scene. It was burned into my brain. ;D Now, after all these years I can watch it anytime I want. Ain't modern technology just the best thing ever.

Yes, I never forgot that scene, too. Even if I was ten and was so many years ago the moment when Holly comes back in the room and in Robert's arms and the Robert's face are unforgottable for me. I dreamt about this scene (and a man like Robert) in all my adolescence. LOL

Is there any one of us who isn't grateful to that Larrick dude for taking Bobbie and Monica hostage? Two wonderful Robert and Holly scenes culminated from that. First, Holly running into Robert's arms when it was finally over, and second, of course, her returning to his bed. Sigh........what a fantastic scene that was. The night before she had almost knocked ( was I the only one screaming at the TV? ) and then she thought she almost lost him. Actually, that's the first time they shared his (their) bed. That was the beginning of their second new start.

Yay this is something I have seen! Yeah I am in the group of,trying to understand it was Holly's first love and that she is grateful for him getting her away from her messed up family, but seriously after being in Robert's orbit for even a little while, I think I would have been saying Luke who? Actually I loved watching Holly's struggle, yes I wanted her to be with Robert but I felt that her having mixed feelings and being not sure what to do. But yeah,by the time we got to the official Holly over Luke it was definitely a long time coming! I think two of my favorite scenes during the crisis was Holly hitting Luke and saying it was his fault and then Robert and Luke laughing about how they got the guy before remembering that they were no longer friends, it was funny and sad at the same time! And I did like Alan and Holly's conversation, she was so worried....fantastic!!!! Oh and to jump to '06 for a second, I couldn't hear what was going on (seeing Robert in Jail was weird enough) but can someone explain to me how they got to that kiss? Which by the way I thought packed a lot of heat, whew! I kinda thought that Holly was confusing love and loyalty when Luke came back. She was in love with Robert, but felt guilty about it. She realized what real love was, but she felt like she was supposed to be in love with Luke. at 1:58- you can see she doesn't want to go away from Robert The Holly/Alan conversation was great because you could see that Holly was regretting that she might not have the chance to tell Robert that she loves him and realizing that he could die. and the kiss in 2006- Robert was in jail because Luke had him listed as a terrrorist- so he couldn't get to Holly before he did. and Holly was the one determined to get him out of jail. She played on luke's ego to help. when the guard was coming- the kiss was Holly's diversion. Except they both got really into it and didn't want to stop. <sigh> at 1:58- you can see she doesn't want to go away from Robert. I really liked this scene because it was the first time Holly confronted him and didn't back down, and also that he recognized the truth of her words. That's why the following scene when he tells her he'll support her decision even if she decides to leave him for Luke so much more poignant. It also leads up to my favorite Holly to Robert scene- her return to him.
