Let's talk trash. Did anyone believe that someone would actually throw away a pc back in 1985. That manager of the dump said he found one in the trash and was using it to keep records of where everything was dumped.

Maybe the manager was lying. It was a HOT PC and the Commissioner made him nervous so he made up a story. There were a lot of things that happened back in the day that I accepted without question.........but watching the story now I say WTF? LOL.

So the city was too cheep to buy a computer to manage the operation of the city dump. On a plus side, the actor was a good character actor.

well, computers were as main stream then, as they are now. Besides, people throw everything out. is it so unbelievable that someone would toss out a wedding ring or engagement ring and not a computer?

one thing I liked about the Brock murder was it was a Columbo type of a mystery. We all knew who did it from the start and the entertainment factor came from watching it get solved and how they figured out everything. Now, if Robert had kept bugging Ginny...Just one more thing...

I agree, that's part of what made it enjoyable to watch. ( Nowadays, it seems even the writers don't know who committed the crime, they wing it until the end of the storyline. ) Plus, it was just so great watching them work together as a team.

So true. Stories doen't seem to be planned out in advance anymore.

I think they have a plan when they start, but maybe it's ADD or maybe it's people figure it out, or they decide they like the character who was about to go down and they do these last minute changes that just don't work.
Still, I loved Robert, Holly, and Burt solving this case. I loved how it again, involved so many of the cast. It really made Robert and Holly shine and did highlight the abilities of Ginny's acting. It really had a lot of drama. Would Bobbie be convicted? Will Ginny cracK? Can Robert and Holly solve this in time? and it even got Robert a hair cut. and while the Commish(not robert- the commish here) didn't like it- I did ;D
